Shaun Baker

Managing Director

Shaun is the founder and CEO of the company. 

His working life started as a Royal Marines Commando. This then changed to the Fire and Rescue Service. 26 years with 3 different Brigades. He finished his career as a Strategic Manager in charge of Operations and Risk. He was heavily involved in Risk planning and Response at Tactical and Strategic level being in a lead role within the the Local Resilience Forum as chair of the Risk Assessment Working Group. He was also the regional chair of the Health and Safety committee. He has instructed in all subjects within the fire and rescue service concentrating heavily on first aid / trauma and incident command. His functional roles as an officer included Multi Agency Gold Incident Command, Tactical CBRN Advisor, a Fire Investigator and Hazardous Materials Environmental Protection Officer. Shaun was also the NFCC national lead for  Incidents involving animals and was one of the National Flood Rescue Tactical Advisors. Since retiring Shaun has also been consulting and training for The National Chemical and Emergency Centre's (NCEC) Hazmat Academy.

Shaun is also a qualified Mountain leader, Rock climbing instructor and Canoe instructor, he has recently stepped down from being a Major in the Combined Cadet Force running a contingent with Wrekin College CCF.


Jon Temple

Jon was a Royal Engineer who specialised in Plant and Machinery initially then became a Diving Specialist.

He left the Army and Joined the Fire and Rescue Service. Jon went through the ranks and was an instructor in all subjects specialising in First aid/Trauma and boat operations. Jon was a Fire Investigator and a Hazmat Officer and finished his Fire Service career as a Group Manager.

Since leaving the service Jon has been working internationally delivering anti poaching training/ first aid and project managing charity projects.

Jon Dixon

Jon has 31 years’ Service within the Fire & Rescue Service sector where he has held various challenging roles and responsibilities across key areas of the Service, which has included Training delivery, Development & Assessment, Response and Contingency planning, Organisational Transformation & Change, Collaborative Working and community risk management where he has led teams to produce high performing outcomes.

As well as a proven track record in leadership & management he has a wide range of experience in command & control at Operational, Tactical and Strategic level incidents and has successfully worked with a range of multi-agency partners.

Jon has gained a postgraduate diploma (level 7) in Strategic Management & Leadership (QCF) as well as other key qualifications in teaching, NEBOSH, Project Management, Assessor and Verification.

Currently works as an Associate Trainer at the Fire Service College in Moreton in the Marsh delivering high quality training, assessment, facilitation and role play in Incident Command to the UK & International Fire & Rescue Services and corporate clients.

His key strengths lie within his ability to lead, manage and develop those around him, he prides himself on being professional and setting and maintaining high standards to get the best out of those around him to drive continual improvement.

 

Darren Smith 

Darren has been in the fire and rescue service for over 30 years.

He retired as the Training Manager for a local authority fire and rescue service.

He taught all elements of Fire and Rescue service operations, including Incident Command, Fire Behaviour / Breathing Apparatus and Water and Rope rescue.

A very experienced Operational officer, trainer and Fire Investigator. Darren is a qualified First Aid and Mental Health First aid Instructor.

Dave Rowley

 Dave is a registered Paramedic with experience in Pre-Hospital Emergency Care, Trauma Medicine, Urgent and Primary Care and Contract Medicine.

He has trained overseas teams, foreign Diplomats, student Paramedics, schools, sports groups, Cadet organisations, and members of the public in first aid through to Advanced Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support.

Having started his journey in 1988 serving with the British Army as a Royal Military Police Officer and qualifying as a team medic he deployed overseas in support of several Operations. On leaving the Military he went on to serve with West Mercia Police Force for 5 years and then joined the Ambulance service in 2009. He has practiced medicine both inside and outside of the UK, in both peace and wartime roles. Most recently returning from Ukraine from a diplomatic mission as a trauma medic working on the contact line. He has also provided medical cover for the BBC and the FA.

He now runs the day-to-day operation of an Urgent Treatment Centre as a Paramedic Practitioner/Clinical Team Lead with clinical oversight of a team of health care professionals and GP’s. He is currently studying for his MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.

He is a qualified British Army Unit Fire NCO, climbing instructor, expedition leader, and free fall parachutist. He is a member of the College of Paramedics. He currently spends his free time as an Adult Instructor with Shropshire ACF.


Matt Trott 

Matt has over 30 years of experience within the Military and the Police. Since leaving the service he has specialised in becoming a First Aid instructor and is currently qualified to FREC 4. Matt, who is based in the Midlands has worked nationally and internationally in his role as an instructor and is able to bring his experience to the learning environment through realistic and engaging training sessions

Rob Tweddle

 A former Royal Marine and a highly experienced and efficient Level 3 Rope Access Technician with over 25 years of experience in a demanding offshore/onshore environment in technician and supervisory role. Well established within the industry having experienced a multitude of tasks including managing and running all aspects of rope access work scopes .

Excellent team worker with the ability to lead or follow. Used to working within small teams and liaising directly with customers and colleagues.
• High level of personal fitness, encouraging and motivating others to participate.
Has organised and led in a variety of expeditions worldwide.
These include;



  • Kayaking the complete lengths of the Rhine River(Europe), Yukon, Missouri and Mississippi Rivers (USA) and the Mackenzie River (Canada).
  • Cycling across Canada east to west
  • Walking the full length of the Appalachian Trail (USA) in winter north to south. In the process raising substantial amounts of monies and awareness for various charities.


Tim Morris

Tim is another former Royal Marine, who completed 15 years and then moved for a short period to working with children in care as an educator. Tim joined the local authority Fire and Rescue Service and has 20 years experience as an Operational Firefighter dealing with Hazmat incidents, Fire incidents and Trauma. He is a qualified First Aid Instructor and Rope Rescue Operator.

Tim is also a qualified Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor and Physical Training Instructor.  

Roger Palin

 Roger has recently retired from the Royal Marines. He holds a Mountain Instructor Certificate and level 5 Canoe and Kayak coach. He has vast experience in training in the outdoors and leading teams. He has been part of the safety team working with TV shows including channel 4 SAS programme.

Roger also has a business providing Drone assistance to organisations

 

Dean Baker 

Dean spent a number of years in the Territorial Army and also managed a number of Phone shops.  For the past 20 years. He has been with MOD Fire and Rescue Service and has worked with NFPA and UK Fire and Rescue standards. He specialises in Aircraft Firefighting, Hazardous Materials and fire safety and holds a level 4 Fire Safety certificate.

Darren Griffiths

Darren is a former Royal Marine who has represented the country in Dragon boat racing and has successfully completed the toughest foot race on earth -Marathon des Sables.

He is a senior IT professional with many years experience of managing and successfully delivering programs and projects for leading financial, manufacturing and government services companies. A proven track record of successfully delivering controlled change, operational stability and sound commercial management. Delivered many initiatives and management of teams on a global spectrum. A strategic planner capable of shaping technology programs to solve business problems.
